Our Council has been Decided
I want to start off by thanking everyone for their support and votes during this campaign. It has been an experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. While I am disappointed that I will not be sitting on Council this term, I have learned a lot and met some great people.
I want to congratulate those who were elected. Know that especially with the great turnout that the people of Airdrie WILL hold you accountable for your actions. I hope you lead us well.
Over the next little while I will change the focus of this website and my actions in the community to help support it from the outside. I wasn’t able to prove to the citizens of Airdrie that I was the right person for the job within a couple of months with no budget, but hopefully with three years and a bit more planning I will be successful.
Thank you,
Trevor
Election Day is Upon Us
Tomorrow the citizens of Airdrie will head to the polls, and if the reaction and turnout during the campaign has been any indication we could see record numbers. I hope that you have taken the time to consider the candidates closely to find out who you think will represent your interests best at Council. During the campaign I have attempted to show you that I am not the typical politician and I hope you have found me worthy of your vote. If elected I will fight for the City of Airdrie with tenacity. And I will lead with an accessibility, accountability, and transparency that I believe is sorely needed.
However I say with all honesty, even if you have decided to not vote for me, please go out and vote tomorrow. Our city is about to go through a changing of the guard with regards to leadership with at least 3 new Aldermen, and it is important that you are part of the decision. In talking with the residents of Airdrie, it has become abundantly clear that many of you feel strongly on a large number of issues. Make sure you help to choose who will be assigned to address them.
Thank you all for your kind words and support. It has been a privilege to run amongst the candidates for the chance to represent all of you.
Trevor
Meet and Greet
As mentioned on my podcast I will be sitting down for a cup of tea at the Tim Horton’s across from the Genesis Place again today between 2-4 to answer any questions you may have before tomorrow’s election. I hope you’ll stop by to let me know what’s on your mind.
Airdrie Matters – Episode 5
This is the final episode of my pre-election podcasts. I hope that they have given you an insight into what I can bring to Council if you decide to vote for me, but either way please get out and vote on the 18th of October.
